October Awareness Month

I am typing this in pink because it is Breast Cancer awareness month this month.


My mom's friend Betty's sister is now in her final days of battling breast cancer for 5 years. I learned this through my dad a couple months ago. My co worker is very active on Susan Komen thing for years now, and when my dad told me about this person, I didn't know her name, so I made a donation and wrote "Betty Sweeney's Sister" on the card. Betty has a daughter that lives in Hawaii, Dawn. We email on occassion, and Dawn just told me that her aunt is now in final days and that she is ready to go ... in lots of pain. I felt so bad for her and Betty.

I need to get screened even though there is no history of cancer in family, but due to the fact that I am taking Enbrel, I feel it is very important.
I try to support in any way I can. I love kitchen Aid especially in pink and the fact they donate some money towards breast cancer. I have kitchen aid pink stuff.

There is also another awareness that happens on October 15th of every year. Miscarriage/stillborn awarness. I missed that yesterday! Drats! :(
